Paradigm Technology provides superior Availability Management Solutions.
Solutions that enable organizations to provide consistent, predictable access to the applications and data their businesses require. Achieving business continuity to keep our customers' IT systems operational during a planned or unplanned downtime is a key priority for us. Paradigm’s Availability Management Solutions has helped customers quickly deploy a viable data protection plan in a systematic way, to minimize/eliminate any loss of value information. Implementing our solutions minimizes or eliminates downtime from planned events such as nightly backups, software or hardware upgrades, and database reorganizations, and from unplanned events such as server failure, fire, floods and power outages—to provide your business with the power of information availability. Understanding our customer’s business and their risks is a key step in determining the best availability management solution. The risks can be associated with human error, computer virus, hardware or system malfunction, software program malfunction or site disaster. We work with our customers to identify their business requirements, and then build the supporting infrastructure using technologies & services, to ensure the business continues to operate despite an outage, interruption, application failure, or full-scale disaster. This task involves working closely with our customers and truly understanding their business in order to better advise them on the level of protection required. Paradigm’s certified technicians have proven implementation skills and expertise in creative problem solving, innovative services and technologies to deliver the right solution for you the customer.
Our solutions and services can be implemented on a single server, or it can also be deployed on a logically partitioned server to replicate between different partitions providing continuous availability benefits. This is extremely important for ERP applications and e-business initiatives, where data and applications must be available 24x7. For companies in areas susceptible to natural disasters, our solutions are used to keep systems in remote facilities synchronized at all times, adding disaster recovery to the list of benefits provided.
The technologies and solutions we provide in our Availability Management include products from our partners Lakeview Technology and IBM. The family of products from Lakeview is the Mimix product line, DR-1 and Omni Enterprise. Our solutions are highly adaptable and are capable of supporting virtually any customer environment. Furthermore, we support a wide range of clustering topologies ranging from simple one-to-one, many-to-one, one-to-many, cascading, two-tier and three-tier. Included in our availability management solutions are significant advancements in ease of operations, data integrity, performance and flexibility. Flexibility allows companies to make optimum use of their systems without having to make changes to applications or their environment.
MIMIX consists of several products, Mimix Replicator (which is made up of MIMIX DB2 Replicator for AS/400 and MIMIX Object Replicator for AS/400), Mimix Monitor, Mimix Browser, DR-1 and Mimix for Windows. These products provide real-time replication of iSeries (AS/400) and xSeries (PCs and Intel Servers) data and all other non-database objects including application objects, system objects, configuration objects, document library objects and integrated file system objects. MIMIX can share product libraries, configuration elements, message logs, menus, data groups and data libraries which greatly simplify implementation and ongoing management of the Availability Management environment. While these products can be used separately, the tight integration of these components enables centralized management, automatic broadcast of configurations and switchover for your environment. MIMIX processes operate on both the production and backup systems to optimize use of computing resources with the lowest overhead rates, while achieving high volume replication
MIMIX Replicator products use the concept of a “data group” to manage the entire replication process. Data groups are logical groups consisting of data files, applications, libraries, data areas, objects or a combination of these items that represents a unit of work during the replication process. Since the direction of replication is defined at a data group level, the roles of servers as primary or secondary servers within a cluster can be unique for specific applications. For example, one application (data group) can replicate from system A to system B, while another application replicates from system B to system A.
